Speed Tracker: GPS Speedometer
Speed Tracker is a GPS speedometer and trip computer app that combines several features into one convenient application. It allows you to record various trip statistics such as speed, time, distance, heading, and elevation.
One outstanding feature of Speed Tracker is the Head-up display (HUD), which can be enabled to show the most accurate speed on your windshield when you place your iPhone or iPad under it. This specially designed HUD interface enhances your driving experience.
The built-in GPS tracker helps you navigate and avoid getting lost. You can switch to navigation mode and view your current position on the map, along with the track you have traveled. The app offers Satellite or Hybrid views for the map.
The Trip Log feature records and saves all information within the application. You can easily access all your trips with just one click. In the Trip Log, you can view the trip on the map, check the speed statistics (average, maximum), distance, total time, and a detailed speed graph. You can also name your trips for easy organization and share them on social media or via email.
The app allows you to export all your trips in various formats (CSV, KML, GPX) or share them with friends on Facebook, Twitter, or via email. The free version of Speed Tracker only allows you to save one trip to the log, but subscribers to the PRO plan can save unlimited trips.
The Trip Computer provides real-time tracking of important trip statistics such as average and maximum speed, distance covered, moving and stopped time.
The Dashboard Display Layout is designed exclusively for the bigger screen of the iPad. It shows all the important trip information at a glance on a single screen and supports both portrait and landscape orientations. Landscape mode is particularly useful if you prefer a wider viewing angle and want to mount your device horizontally on your car's dashboard.
Speed Tracker features a unique scalable speedometer dial, allowing you to select the maximum possible speed for your vehicle and track your speed with greater precision, whether you're on a plain, train, car, bike, boat, or bicycle.
All aggregated data from your trips will be saved in one place for easy access. The app also automatically detects whether you are moving or standing and calculates your average speed accordingly. It can generate trip reports that show travel and stoppage time separately.
Speed Tracker also supports Apple Watch, allowing you to start and stop tracking and view your trip data on your wrist.
Please note that Speed Tracker is not compatible with WiFi-only iPads or iPod touch devices. Continued use of GPS running in the background can decrease battery life, and a data connection is required to see the map. Make sure you have location services enabled for the app.
The app offers a subscription plan that allows you to record an unlimited number of trips and disable in-app advertisements. Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account upon confirmation of purchase. The subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in your Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
