The new Getty Images app is designed for creative and media professionals, as well as photography enthusiasts. It offers a faster and smoother experience, with a more personalized interface. The app allows users to search, save, and share a wide collection of creative, editorial, and archival imagery and video. The Home screen displays recent activity, including recently viewed items, searches, boards, downloads, favorites, and followed contributors. Users can clear individual searches and views, or remove all at once. The app showcases big and beautiful images that are optimized for all screen sizes, including iPad Pro. Users can tap an image to view it in full-screen mode and zoom in for a closer look. The app allows users to search, preview, and play video collections, although video download is not yet supported. Curated galleries display the newest and best photography curated by Getty Images' editors. The app also offers search and filter options to narrow down the exact images desired from the collection of over 60 million assets. Users can sign in to their Getty Images account to save images to their boards or create new ones in real-time. Videos saved to boards can be previewed within the app. Images can be favorited quickly using the heart icon, and can be reviewed on the Home screen. Getty Images Premium Access, Easy-access, Editorial Subscription, and UltraPack customers can download image assets to their iPad or iPhone, or to Dropbox. Comp downloads are also available, but video downloads are not yet supported. The app allows users to find and follow their favorite contributors to see more of their images. Images and boards can be shared with colleagues or clients via email, iMessage, Facebook, or Twitter. Additionally, users can copy an image embed code for non-commercial use on their website or blog.
