Sunny@SG

Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is emitted by the sun and is a part of the electromagnetic spectrum. While some UV exposure is important for health functions such as Vitamin D production and treating certain diseases, excessive exposure can be harmful. Problems associated with strong UV radiation include skin cancer, cataracts, suppression of the immune system, and premature aging of the skin.

To help individuals monitor their UV exposure, the Sunny@SG app provides access to hourly UV index readings from the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) on the go. Users can receive notifications when the UV index reaches a high level and can easily share the current UV index with friends and family. Feedback and suggestions for the app are welcomed through email or the app’s contact feature.

Please note that Sunny@SG is not developed or affiliated with the MSS, and any inaccuracies found should not be attributed to MSS.
