PlayScore 2
PlayScore 2 is a music app that allows users to play all kinds of music directly from photos, images, and PDF scores. It offers features such as the ability to export as MusicXML and MIDI, adjust volume and transposition for each staff, and accompany oneself while singing or playing an instrument. The app also provides a smart metronome that understands time signatures and allows users to create Playable Score Documents that others can play back by downloading PlayScore 2. Additionally, users can export Full Notation MusicXML to score editors like Finale, Sibelius, MuseScore, and Dorico, with text, dynamics, articulation, and more.
PlayScore 2 can read and play various types of music including songs, piano, organ, guitar, hymns, solos, sonatas, and chamber, band, and orchestral compositions. It is particularly useful for choirs and ensembles, as it allows each member to listen to their part individually or stand out from the others. The app offers 19 high-quality instruments per staff to choose from, the ability to change tempo and create loops by tapping or dragging with a finger, and options to mute and adjust volume and change instruments for each staff individually. Users can also transpose the entire song or by instrument and adjust the multi-measure count-in and metronome. Additional features include swing playback and adjustable dynamic range.
PlayScore 2 simplifies the creation of multi-page Playable Scores by allowing users to rearrange, recapture, or delete pages, select a page range in a PDF, clip and mask, and search and sort by title or composer.
The app offers various subscription options: the PlayScore 2 Productivity subscription allows users to create and play multi-staff, multi-page scores captured with the camera or imported as images, export documents for others to play, and interact with scores and export MIDI files. The PlayScore 2 Professional subscription enables users to create Playable Score documents from PDF scores that anyone can play and export any score as MIDI and MusicXML containing full notation and text. Both versions are available as 1-month or 12-month auto-renewing subscriptions.
It is important to note that capturing copyrighted music without the copyright holder's permission is illegal.
