Air Lookout
Air Lookout is an app designed to simplify Air quality information and make it easy to understand. It currently supports the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s air quality stations in North America. Unlike weather, air quality can be more difficult to comprehend, which is why Air Lookout presents actionable information in simple language. The app works on iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and supports Shortcuts and iOS 14 Widgets for accessibility across different devices.
With the new Air Lookout Pro version, users can access additional features and data for a more comprehensive understanding of air quality. While basic data will always be free, Air Lookout Pro offers morning and evening summaries, custom app icons, the ability to save favorites, and access to historical data for all locations.
The app provides various functionalities such as selecting a home site to always display in the station list, a week-at-a-glance feature to track air quality changes over time, and detailed data displaying pollutant concentrations and AQI (Air Quality Index). Users can also browse air quality stations on a map and utilize iOS 14 Widgets to monitor air quality right from their home screen.
Air Lookout emphasizes privacy by default, with no tracking, ads, data selling, or location monitoring/sharing. The app monitors 12 pollutants, including PM2.5, PM10, Ozone, Nitrates, and Carbon Monoxide, using data provided by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
Air Lookout offers subscriptions for its Pro version, priced at $1.99 per month or $19.99 per year.
