CalenGoo Calendar
CalenGoo is a mobile application that allows users to conveniently access and modify their Google Calendar using their iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad. The app can be used offline, utilizing cached data, and will save any changes made to the calendar for upload the next time the device is connected to the internet.
The calendar view in CalenGoo closely resembles the web view of Google Calendar. It displays events using the same colors that users have assigned in their Google Calendar, including support for Google's event colors. The app also recognizes which calendars are visible and hidden, ensuring that the view in CalenGoo reflects the user's Google Calendar as accurately as possible.
CalenGoo offers a month view feature, similar to Google Calendar, allowing users to easily get an overview of their events for an entire month. The month view can be zoomed in and panned using a two-finger zoom gesture, similar to Safari and the photo application. Tapping on a specific day opens it for further details.
The app supports the same recurrence rules as Google Calendar, correctly displaying recurring events even when offline or scrolling far into the future.
Users can take advantage of Google Calendar's invite feature with CalenGoo, inviting people to events and viewing their status (accepted, declined, maybe, no answer). Invitations are sent via email with links for the recipients to accept or decline the invitation.
Furthermore, CalenGoo syncs with Google's integrated task list, Google Tasks. Tasks with due dates appear on the corresponding days in the calendar view. Users can edit and add tasks, with changes syncing to Google Tasks and making them available offline.
While the app can be used with iOS calendars, using it with a Google Calendar account provides additional advantages.
