Alerts for Reddit
"Alerts for Reddit" is a mobile app that provides phone notifications for new posts on selected subreddits or by favorite users. Users can track their favorite subreddits or users and receive notifications when a post quickly rises to the top of a subreddit. The app allows users to easily add, remove, or mute subreddits or users at any time to control their notifications. Unlike other similar apps, "Alerts for Reddit" does not require users to link their Reddit accounts, allowing them to subscribe to notifications for any public subreddit or user. Users can set the frequency of notifications for each subreddit, choosing between low for breaking news, high for all hot posts, or all for notifications for all new posts. Premium subscribers can enable the "All - Fast" frequency to receive notifications for all new posts within 30 seconds. Additionally, users can set the notification frequency for each user to receive notifications for their posts only or both posts and comments. The app also offers the option to filter notifications by keyword, allowing users to receive notifications for specific posts that contain certain words. Notifications will either launch the user straight to the Reddit app or bring them to Reddit via the browser. The app provides a convenient view of recent alerts for subscribed subreddits and users within the app. "Alerts for Reddit" offers a premium subscription option, available yearly or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically, and payment is charged through the user's iTunes account. Users can manage their subscription through Account Settings in iTunes.
