The SummitLynx app allows users to record and track their outdoor activities such as mountain tours, bike tours, climbing tours, and skiing tours. The app provides digital hiking maps to assist with orientation in the mountains. Users can record their activities at over 400,000 worldwide destinations and share their successes with friends through the app or via social media. The app also offers an emergency function called mySOS, which allows users to enter a contact person who will receive a text message if they do not return from their hike on time. The app features a personal summit or tour book where users can create entries with details such as the name of the destination, date and time, pictures, and personal notes. It also offers various features like collecting hiking badges, participating in competitions, and accessing informative statistics about hiking tours. The app can be used offline, with entries being stored until the user is online again.
