GymBook ・ Strength Training

GymBook is a fitness app designed to help users create, log, and analyze their workouts at the Gym . It offers an innovative and visually appealing user interface, making it easy to manage workouts and exercises. Users can create custom workouts or choose from a library of over 50 simple exercises with animated images and visualizations of the muscle groups they target. The app allows users to group and sort exercises within a workout, set parameters such as sets, weight, and reps for each exercise, and define different settings for warm-up sets or pyramid training. Workouts that aren't currently in use can be archived for later use or statistical analysis.

The app also features a robust exercise management system. Users can edit preloaded exercises or create their own, including cardio and stretching exercises. Each exercise can be assigned to a region, primary and secondary muscle groups, and equipment, and users can add notes and photos for further customization.

Logging and tracking workouts is quick and easy with GymBook. Users can log their workouts directly on their Apple Watch and add notes for additional information. The app offers pre-filled picker views and a Quick-Log feature for fast logging. Users can access logs from within a workout, including graphical statistics, and can easily change the workout date for logging previous workouts. The app provides an interactive line graph to immediately view exercise statistics, and can automatically move to the next exercise after saving a log. The "Workout Matrix" feature provides a detailed overview of the current workout, and live activities can be displayed on the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island.

After completing a workout, users can view a summary of their performance and analyze progress compared to previous workouts. Completed workouts are saved to the Health app, including details such as date, start time, end time, duration, and optionally active calories and heart rate.

Additional features of GymBook include an adjustable timer for tracking rest periods, detailed analysis of performance through interactive line graphs and doughnut charts, body measurement tracking with interactive line graphs, and the ability to export logs as XML and CSV files or backup the data as a database file. The app also offers iCloud synchronization and allows users to customize its appearance with a choice of nine different designs in light and dark mode. Some advanced features are available for purchase through in-app purchases.

Note that GymBook is developed by gym experts for gym experts, and provides example workouts for orientation. The app supports both metric and imperial units of measurement.
