The School Safety Self Assessment Survey is a collaborative project between Risk RED, IMAGINS, Save the Children, and the Global Alliance for Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience in the Education Sector. This survey is part of the Comprehensive School Safety Assessment Suite and includes mobile applications for conducting self-assessments and post-disaster damage assessments at schools.
Nationally adapted surveys have been developed for School Safety Self-Assessment and Post-Disaster Damage and Needs Assessment. School management committees, focal points, and authorized enumerators can use these surveys to gather data, submit responses, receive reports, and contribute to national database systems.
Currently, the School Safety Self Assessment Survey is being utilized in countries such as Lao PDR, Fiji, China, the Philippines, Solomon Islands, and Tonga to improve school safety and resilience in the face of disasters.
