UV Bodyguard
The UV-Bodyguard is a wearable device that is connected to the UV-Bodyguard Smartphone App. With this app, users can see in real-time the current intensity of the sun and receive recommendations on how to protect themselves from excessive sun exposure. By creating one or multiple user profiles with information on skin type and the type of sunscreen being used, users can track their exposure to UV radiation and see the percentage of their individual healthy UV dose they have reached. The app also provides information on how long users should stay in the sun for optimal vitamin D absorption or sunburn prevention. Additionally, users are warned in advance when they are approaching their healthy limit. The app offers a UV forecast for the next few days, based on satellite data from the European Space Agency's Copernicus program, and users can also view their recorded UV tracks.
