Wisuki - Wind and Waves
Wisuki is a comprehensive wind, waves, weather, and tide forecast app that offers advanced features to help users find the best conditions for their outdoor activities. Whether it's surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, fishing, sailing, paragliding, or biking, Wisuki can assist in planning these activities effectively.
The app includes a community feature that allows users to post sessions, share them privately or publicly, and engage in liking and commenting. Sessions posted are linked to the forecast data at the exact session time, offering a better understanding of how forecasts work under different conditions. Users can also search for and follow other users.
The app provides listings for nearby, favorite, and custom spots, displaying information on wind orientation, wind direction, tide trend and height, as well as a time picker and filters for more precise searches.
The forecast feature offers data at 1-hour and 3-hour intervals, with information on wind and waves, including alert icons, direction, speed, gust, height, and period. Weather conditions such as temperature, clouds, and precipitation are also included. The forecast chart provides a detailed overview, while a night-time feature can be toggled on or off. Water temperature and spot time zone are additional features provided.
The radar feature in the app displays animated wind and waves arrows overlaid on a spot map, with dynamic arrow sizes and colors corresponding to conditions. Various map modes and zooming capabilities are available.
Maps show daily high wind and wave markers, with a weekday picker and direct access to all spot options. The spot tide reference buoy location is also indicated.
For tide forecasts, the app provides data for 30 days, including moon phases, moonrise/moonset times, sunrise/sunset times, and high/low tide times, height and tidal coefficients. A daily detailed tide interactive chart is also available, as well as a time to the next high/low tide feature.
In terms of statistics, the app offers monthly wind, waves, and weather statistics, including averages and reliability for Wind speed , wind gust, wave height, wave period, temperature, and precipitation. Wind and wave roses per alert levels and months are also provided.
Additional features of the app include options for different units of measurement for wind, waves, temperature, and distance.
Wisuki PRO membership is available through a subscription, offering unlimited access to all app features, removal of app banners, and enhanced forecasts, forecast charts, radar charts, and tide charts. The subscription can be canceled easily at any time with no fees. Payment is charged through the iTunes Account, and subscriptions automatically renew unless turned off 24 hours before the end of the current period.
