The GPS taxi meter app is designed for individuals who earn income by driving, such as towing, shuttle bus, limo, or taxi drivers. The app allows users to set up an unlimited number of tariffs, where charges can be based on distance, time, or a combination of both. In addition, users can easily manage trip extras, adding or removing them with just one tap.
Key features include a flexible extras system, trips log, stats, and receipts for billing and bookkeeping purposes. The app also offers a one-tap tariffs switch, configurable decimal places in taxi fare, integration with Square Point Of Sale app for secure payments and receipt printing, and a built-in speedometer for speed monitoring while driving.
The universal app is designed for iPhones and cellular iPads, with retina graphics and support for split view and side by side functionality on iPads. The app also works in the background during active taxi trips, allowing users to use other apps simultaneously.
The free version of the app includes 10 taxi trips, with the option to upgrade for more trips. Please note that the app requires GPS capability and will not function properly on iPods or wifi-only iPads. Continued use of GPS in the background may impact battery life.
