Lightning Tracker
Abstract: The "Lightning Tracker" app, the first lightning alert app in South Korea, provides reliable lightning occurrence information based on data from the Meteorological Administration and on-site lightning sensors. Users can prepare for outdoor lightning occurrences in advance and minimize damage by receiving various information through the app. Users can designate up to three areas of interest to receive real-time lightning information and check daily forecasts and weather information. Additionally, users can check nationwide lightning conditions and receive real-time cloud movement information through radar data. The app also offers push alerts for lightning occurrences near designated locations, allowing users to detect lightning without manual app operation and effectively prepare for lightning events. Lastly, the app provides both lightning and weather information to users.
