BOM Weather
The BOM Weather app from the Bureau of Meteorology in Australia provides users with access to hourly and 7-day forecasts, radar, and warnings. The app is free and ad-free on mobile and tablet devices, and includes widgets for easy viewing of weather information. The app features current weather conditions such as temperature, 'feels like' temperature, rain, wind speed and direction, humidity, and rainfall since 9 am. Forecasts include hourly temperature, wind, gust, and rain for the next 72 hours, as well as a 7-day forecast, wave height and direction, sunrise and sunset times, UV and moon phase information, fire danger rating, and water forecasts and summaries. The app also offers a rain map that shows rain 90 minutes into the past and future, along with the ability to pan and zoom to any location in Australia. Users can receive warning notifications for up to 3 locations, including notifications for fire weather, flood, heatwave, marine wind, severe thunderstorm, severe weather, tropical cyclone, and tsunami. The app also provides past weather data, including latest highs and lows, and 72 hours of temperature, wind, and rain information. Users have the option to use their current location, save favorite locations, search for any location in Australia, and view recent locations. Additionally, the app offers widgets that display weather details for the current or selected location, including current, minimum, and maximum temperature. Multiple widgets can be added for locations throughout Australia.
