ENRICHERS
The European Commission's ENRICH in the USA initiative aims to establish a Network of European Research and Innovation Centers and Hubs in research universities across the United States. This network acts as a central contact point for European research and innovation actors, such as clusters, universities, R&D labs/centers, researchers, start-ups, and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), seeking collaboration opportunities in the US market. The mission of the Network is to provide standardized research and innovation internationalization support programs, including services, activities, and events, to accelerate exposure and collaboration opportunities for European researchers and innovators in the US market.
The NGI Enrichers program, also funded by the European Commission, is a complementary fellowship program focused on European researchers and early-stage innovators seeking collaboration opportunities in the USA, particularly around research universities. Co-managed by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Temple University, these programs support a global community of StartUps , corporations, research labs, universities, mentors, and investors actively participating in fostering collaboration and innovation.
In addition to supporting European researchers and innovators, these programs also aim to assist US startups and SMEs in becoming global, scaling their operations, and entering the European market.
At the Silicon Valley Funding Summit at CES, investors and stakeholders from startup ecosystems are invited to speak and judge pitching sessions by startups. The selected judges, including angels, strategic investors, family offices partners, venture capital partners, private equity partners, investment bankers, incubators or accelerators executives, micro-funds managers, and crypto investors, provide feedback and score the pitches. The top 5 presentations are chosen by the judges using an app that facilitates scoring.
Throughout the week at CES and in the following weeks, startups can connect with participating investors and ecosystem stakeholders using the PITCH&MATCH app, which also allows them to promote their latest news and offers.
