Widgetsmith
Widgetsmith is an app that allows users to personalize their home screen and lock screen with highly customizable widgets. These widgets cover a range of functions such as photos, date, weather, and astronomy. Users can adjust each widget to fit their desired function and appearance.
One of the key features of Widgetsmith is the ability to schedule the appearance of widgets on the home screen based on user-defined rules. This means that users can have different widgets displayed throughout the day, optimizing the use of each slot on the home screen. For example, a weather widget can be set to appear in the morning, followed by a calendar widget during work hours, and an Activity ring progress widget at the end of the day.
The app also includes a variety of tools like a weather app, timezone converter, and calendar. These tools can launch automatically when the corresponding widget is tapped.
Widgetsmith optionally integrates with Apple Health, allowing users to display step and activity data on specific widget types. Access to this data is controlled through the Apple Health app.
Additionally, Widgetsmith offers an optional premium subscription on a monthly or annual basis. Subscriptions will automatically renew unless canceled 24 hours before the end of the current period. Users have the ability to turn off auto-renewal in their Account Settings on the App Store.
