RadarNow! is a mobile app that provides users with access to National Weather Service (NWS) Radar images from the NOAA WSR-88D NEXRAD Radar sites located around the US. The app downloads radar images directly from NWS servers, ensuring that users always have the most current information available. When the app is launched, the radar images displayed are from the site closest to the user's location.
RadarNow! offers the option to upgrade to remove ad banners. Users can also provide feedback or report issues through the app's "Contact us" form. The input from users has been instrumental in improving the app.
While RadarNow! is designed to be fast and efficient with excellent free options, users seeking more comprehensive weather information can consider using apps like WeatherBug or Weather Channel. RadarNow! Standard (Free) provides animated radar, local conditions, and NWS Alerts centered on the user's current location. RadarNow! Premium offers additional features such as the ability to select other radar sites, more zoom levels, range rings, selectable locations, and a pannable map of the continental US with looping weather radar.
RadarNow! covers the entire US, Puerto Rico, Guam, and areas of Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean that border the US. The app only uses battery power when actively in use, and its impact on battery life is minimal. RadarNow! utilizes GPS and network location services to determine the user's location, but can also use a ZIP code if these services are unavailable.
