The Free Tone app offers unlimited texting and calling with your own personal phone number. Users can enjoy one week without ads when creating a new account. Features include unlimited messaging and calling to any phone in the US and Canada, real phone number, free voicemail, group texting, location sharing, stickers, and the ability to transform iPod Touch and iPad into a wifi phone. There are no hidden costs or catches. The app does not support 911 calls and certain territories in the US are not included. Inbound calls to personal numbers have complimentary minutes and additional fees may apply. Push notifications must be enabled to receive messages and calls. Only one free phone number per account is allowed. In-app subscriptions are available for additional features.
