iSip -VOIP Sip Phone
The iSip application, formerly known as SipPhone, is the first general SIP client for the iPhone. It allows users to make SIP calls using any VoIP provider, as well as set up a SIP server within their own organization to use their iPhone as an extension. This app also features the ability to record phone conferences with just one tap.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad, iSip allows users to make cheap VOIP calls when connected to the internet via WIFI. The app offers a variety of features including support for SIP calls, speakerphone, voicemail display, multiple ringtones, DTMF during calls, various codecs, and support for different servers and proxies.
Note that a SIP account from a provider is required to use this software, and it does not support SKYPE accounts. Additionally, some mobile network operators may restrict or charge additional fees for VoIP functionality over their network. Users with iPod Touch 1st generation devices will need to upgrade to iPhone/iPod OS 2.2 or above and use an external MIC for this app.
