OneSim VoIP offers OneSimCard customers a cost-effective solution for making and receiving international calls on their iPhone mobile phones or iPads. By utilizing a good quality Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G, or LTE Internet connection along with a VoIP-enabled Personal Extra Number (PEN) from OneSimCard, users can choose to make calls through the VoIP network, resulting in lower rates compared to standard international roaming fees. Incoming calls to the PEN can also be received through low-cost VoIP, provided the OneSimCard device and OneSim VoIP app are connected to the Internet.
Version 2 of the app introduces a texting feature that allows users to send and receive SMS messages to and from US and Canada mobile phones at reduced rates over Wi-Fi or mobile data. The app does not require a OneSimCard SIM in the phone, but users must have a OneSimCard account and a VOIP and SMS enabled PEN. Initial app settings can be accessed in the “My SIM Cards” menu of the OneSimCard online account, where users can create a OneSimCard VoIP account and receive Settings information for their device.
It is important to note that call quality using OneSim VoIP relies on the strength of the Internet connection and may vary. Users are advised that the connection quality over the Internet may be inferior to the quality obtained through the OneSimCard international SIM card roaming network.
