SongBook+
SongBook+ is a versatile app that allows musicians to manage their songs with Lyrics and/or sheet music, playbacks, MIDI files, and videos. It also offers the ability to control MIDI devices or be controlled by MIDI. The app has garnered positive reviews from enthusiastic musicians and is free to download. However, the basic version has limitations, including a restriction to only one book of 15 songs. Users have the option to unlock the full version through an in-app purchase.
The app provides various features such as search and sort options for song management, viewing lyrics or sheet music in multiple formats, playing playbacks and MIDI files, and even handling karaoke videos. SongBook+ offers a multitrack audio player with separate audio outputs, as well as multichannel audio routing with external hardware. Additionally, it includes a mixer with equalizer and volume controls for the audio files.
Users can insert notes, chords, symbols, sheet music, images, and shapes, as well as highlight, underline, and strike out text passages. The app supports hand-written notes and drawings, and allows users to insert custom buttons into the document. It offers options for full page turns or smooth scrolling, as well as automatic page turns or scrolling. Users can also record song positions with their finger and import and display lyrics of MIDI/MP3 files.
SongBook+ provides additional functionalities like control using a foot pedal, wireless synchronization of SongBooks for song selection, creating playlists, and generating music logs for billing purposes. It also offers a night mode with inverted colors, an optical and/or acoustic metronome, and the ability to connect an external monitor.
The app's MIDI options are particularly exceptional. Users can access the corresponding registration via keyboard when opening a song, open a song on the iPad via MIDI remote control, and send individually configurable MIDI commands when opening, starting, or stopping a song. Additionally, MIDI buttons can be inserted into the lyrics/sheet music, remote browsing via MIDI is possible, and MIDI files can be played via MIDI-Out on a keyboard or MIDI player. The app even includes an integrated MIDI monitor.

Sponsorship is offered at three different levels and can be paid on a monthly or yearly basis. Subscriptions renew automatically, but can be canceled in the user's account settings.
