Stage Traxx is an audio player designed for professional musicians working with backing tracks. Stage Traxx 3 offers enhanced control and convenience for live performances. Whether users prefer prepared playlists or making spontaneous choices, Stage Traxx provides a versatile tool for managing audio playback.
Key features include the ability to display Lyrics or PDF files, automatic scrolling during playback, the ability to rearrange songs with loops and audio regions, and multitrack playback with up to 8 stereo tracks. The software supports up to 18 separate outputs on multichannel audio interfaces, and offers separate volume, pitch, speed, and equalizer settings for each track. Additionally, users can add AUv3 plugins as master effects, take advantage of Audiobus 3 compatibility, and configure crossfades.
Organizational features include the ability to keep devices synced through iCloud, an unlimited number of playlists, the option to assign colors and keywords to songs and playlists, and extensive sorting and filtering capabilities. Users can also keep track of which songs have been played.
Stage Traxx offers remote control capabilities via Airturn, Bluetooth MIDI, and MIDI. Users can control external gear by sending MIDI commands during playback, and can send MIDI Timecode and MIDI Clock to synchronize other devices.
Collaboration and sharing features allow users to share songs and playlists, including lyrics and metadata, with other users. Network sessions enable users to send lyrics or PDF documents of the current track to other iOS devices via WiFi.
The free version of Stage Traxx has some limitations, including a maximum of 6 imported songs, no restore of backups, no network sessions, and no iCloud sync. These limitations can be removed by unlocking the full version through a one-time in-app purchase. overall, Stage Traxx 3 provides professional musicians with powerful control and organization capabilities for managing backing tracks during live performances.
