WMBF First Alert Weather
This abstract describes the features and capabilities of the WMBF Mobile Weather App. It provides access to station content specifically tailored for mobile users and offers a range of tools for weather tracking and forecasting. These tools include a 250-meter radar, the highest resolution available, as well as future radar to track the movement of severe weather. The app also provides high-resolution satellite cloud imagery and updates on current weather conditions multiple times per hour. Daily and hourly forecasts are updated hourly from computer models, and users can add and save their favorite locations for easy access. The app also includes a fully integrated GPS feature for current location awareness. For safety purposes, the app provides severe Weather alerts from the National Weather Service and offers opt-in push alerts to keep users informed and safe during severe weather events.
