My Barometer and Altimeter
Abstract:
This text discusses the features and updates of a redesigned application that allows users to check current pressure, elevation, and weather conditions quickly. The app now includes tabbed navigation for improved usability. Users can access ground and mean sea level (MSL) pressure, as well as their current altitude and weather conditions. Two separate barometer screens are available, with one showing MSL pressure and the other indicating ground-level pressure at the user's current location. The app supports multiple units of measurement for pressure, including pounds per square inch, millibar, hectopascal, kilopascal, millimeter of mercury, bar, and inch of mercury. Users can also customize their preferred units in the settings. The app provides an altimeter gauge with precise elevation calculations, using GPS, network services, and calibrated pressure sensors. Additionally, the app presents accurate weather information, including temperature, Wind speed and direction, humidity, cloudiness, dew point temperature, and fog. Users with pressure sensors can switch between average elevation and barometer-based elevation. The history screen offers various data options, such as MSL pressure, ground level pressure, temperature, and elevation, and allows users to filter data based on their desired time span. The app introduces custom notifications for time-based alerts and pressure level alarms. Users can also enable an autosave function to automatically record pressure, temperature, and elevation values at regular intervals.
