Score Creator: compose music
Score Creator is a mobile Music composition application that allows users to write music on the go. It is designed to provide a simple and powerful music creation tool for composing music on mobile devices. The app enhances the user experience by optimizing the process of composing music on mobile platforms, eliminating the need for "tapping and zooming" or "dragging and dropping" to add musical elements. Users can compose songs by simply tapping on keyboards designed like a text keyboard, making music composition as easy as texting.
In addition to its songwriting capabilities, Score Creator also serves as a teaching and learning assistant tool for music teachers and students. Teachers can directly enter music notes into the app and play back the song, allowing students to learn how to read music notation. Similarly, students can practice by notating their favorite songs into the app and playing along with their instruments.
Score Creator supports the writing of various types of sheet music, including lead sheets, solo instruments, SATB choir, and sheet music for brass and woodwind bands. The app offers a wide range of notes and music symbols, including note length, time signature, key signature, slurs, ties, dynamics, articulations, and ornaments. Users can also write lyrics and chord symbols, and create multiple tracks with different instruments such as piano, guitar, violin, saxophone, drum, flute, horn, tuba, ukulele, and mandolin. The app enables users to transpose songs into any key, import songs from MIDI and MusicXML files, and make changes to clef, time/key signature, and tempo in the middle of a song.
Other features of Score Creator include the ability to export songs to MIDI or MusicXML files for use in other apps, send exported MIDI files to other apps on the device, import MIDI files from other apps, export songs to PDF files, and export songs to audio files in WAV or MP3 formats. The app also provides editing assistant features such as multiple selecting notes, copy and paste, and undo and redo. Users can store their work on iCloud and the app does not collect or store any personal information.
