Music Theory Intervals •
This text discusses a tool that helps teachers, students, and professional musicians recognize simple and compound intervals by sight and/or sound. The tool includes a 'Grade Book' feature that lists all saved results, which can be printed or sent.
The simple intervals covered are major, minor, diminished, augmented 2nds, 3rds, 6ths, 7ths, and diminished, perfect, and augmented 4ths, 5ths, and octaves. Compound intervals, which are intervals larger than an octave, are also included.
The tool provides three modes: Audio and Visual, Audio Only (Ear Training), and Visual Only (Clef Notation Training). It supports Treble, Alto, Tenor, and Bass clefs. Users can set how the interval is played (harmonically, melodically up, down, or randomly) and can choose to have a random root change or set the root themselves between each question. They can also set the number of questions or stop anytime and grade only the number answered.
The Grade Book feature allows filtering by the name of the user. Each grade includes the name, date and time of the quiz, all relevant settings (clef, number of questions, etc.), and the score as a percentage and letter grade.
