Dig Local is an app that connects users to the unique and authentic aspects of Asheville, NC. It aims to combat the proliferation of chains and big box stores by promoting local businesses and events. The app features a SCOOPS tab that provides information on events, deals, and local happenings. The LIST tab offers recommendations from micro-influencers on where to go and what to do in Asheville. Users can also create a PROFILE and share their favorite places with others. The EXPLORE tab provides a wealth of information on original Asheville establishments, complete with photos, maps, and useful suggestions. Dig Local was created by Ted and Flori Pate, who are passionate about supporting small businesses and promoting authenticity. The app is designed to enhance the Asheville experience by connecting users to the people and places that make the city special.
